KTM FAITH LESSONS

Grace to you today and peace be multiplied through the knowledge of God and Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior! May the Word of The Kingdom dwell in your heart by faith.
It is obvious that governments all over the world are struggling for answers to the many issues that face us today. Even this country which has free enterprise and capitalization has the greatest disparity between the rich and the poor. There is no doubt that the very power struggle within our government was built on distrust. That’s why we have the separation of powers. Our government can not be trusted and since we train our politicians to lead, how can we expect them to solve the problems?
Our King Jesus, the delegate from heaven, has come to give us the government He came from. Jesus never came to give us Christianity. That is a religion and not a government. Adam did not lose a religion. What Adam lost was a government. If the government that Jesus came to over 2000 years ago was so good then He would not have offered another one to us. In fact Jesus was restoring the government that Adam lost. We are redeemed to the government of Heaven.
Recently a bomb blew up hundreds of people waiting to flee a city because of the horrible conditions of the government that exists there. In fact the people there were at a bus depot expecting to leave. The government is so atrocious that they bombed the people trying to leave. Those people were probably happy in that country until crisis and conflict came to the leadership. People leave a country so that they can go to another one that has better conditions and promises. They want better citizenship privileges and opportunities to learn so it can produce a lifestyle they have envisioned for themselves.
“These all died in faith, not having received the promises, but having seen them afar off, and were persuaded of them, and embraced them, and confessed that they were strangers and pilgrims on the earth. For they that say such things declare plainly that they seek a country. And truly, if they had been mindful of that country from whence they came out, they might have had opportunity to have returned. But now they desire a better country, that is, an heavenly: wherefore God is not ashamed to be called their God: for he hath prepared for them a city.” Heb. 11:13-16 (KJV)
We should all be glad for the possibility of dual citizenship. Dual citizenship is necessary for this life and for us to live life more effectively. In the passage above it tells us that our heros of faith wanted a better country. In fact they looked forward to it. We have a heavenly kingdom and we must accept our citizenship now. Jesus told us that it is here now. In fact that’s why He came.
“And when it was day, he departed and went into a desert place: and the people sought him, and came unto him, and stayed him, that he should not depart from them. And he said unto them, I must preach the kingdom of God to other cities also: for therefore am I sent.” Luke 4:42-43 Think about that. Go ahead…..I’ll wait. Underlining is my emphasis
God’s Kingdom can’t be broken into and run amuck. God’s Kingdom is an everlasting kingdom and the people mentioned in Hebrews 11 wanted into it. The Kingdom of God is a better government and that was the message of Jesus Christ. He didn’t preach ‘Repent and become a Christian.’ He said to “Repent because the kingdom of God is here.” Mark 1:14
“Verily I say unto you, Among them that are born of women there hath not risen a greater than John the Baptist: notwithstanding he that is least in the kingdom of heaven is greater than he. And from the days of John the Baptist until now the kingdom of heaven suffereth violence, and the violent take it by force.” Matt. 11:10-12
Look at these versions of that verse. Matt. 10:12
“From the days of John the Baptist until now, the kingdom of heaven has been subjected to violence, and violent people have been raiding it.” (NIV)
“From the days of John the Baptist until now, the kingdom of heaven has been subject to violence, and the violent lay claim to it.” (Berean Study Bible)
“From the days of John the Baptist until the present, the kingdom from heaven has been forcefully advancing, and violent people have been attacking it,” (International Standard Version)
We have been taught, through religion, that we are the violent that are to take the kingdom by force but that is WRONG. We are not the violent. The violent are trying to take the benefits of the kingdom by forcing people to obey them and not God. Jesus said that it is God's good pleasure to give you the kingdom. Give you the kingdom, not make you take it. It is, however, a violent act anytime we try to establish our own way of doing things to produce righteousness. Even God says, in the book of Malachi, that when you fail to tithe you are robbing Him. Now that is violent as robbery means to take by force. Jesus came to make it plain and religious leaders have messed it up. That is because they are not looking at God's Word as the constitution of His government but from a religious pious position.
“Brethren, my heart's desire and prayer to God for Israel is, that they might be saved. For I bear them record that they have a zeal of God, but not according to knowledge. For they being ignorant of God's righteousness, and going about to establish their own righteousness, have not submitted themselves unto the righteousness of God. For Christ is the end of the law for righteousness to everyone that believeth.” Romans 10:1-4
Christ has the last Word on the matter! Whatever the king says His Kingdom will do it will do. That is excitement without end! If Jesus says that we are to believe that we receive when we pray then that is the last Word on the matter and from now on that is what we will do. The Word is near us. It is in our mouth and in our heart. The only way to get that is to seek the Kingdom of God and His way of becoming and being a citizen. This is the way to the better government. The Kingdom of Heaven is the better government and God has chosen us to bring His government to earth. Earth is a wonderful planet with many wonderful spectacles to see. He gave Adam the power to govern as He walked with Adam daily. Adam lost that power to manage the planet and Jesus has come to bring it back yet all we talk about is coping until we get out of here. “I’ll fly away old glory I’ll fly away.” is what we sing whereas Jesus is praying that God take us not out of the world but that we dominate in the world. He would not tell us to do something He did not authorize us to do. He evens promises to provide for us as we advance the kingdom of God.
“Henceforth I call you not servants; for the servant knoweth not what his lord doeth: but I have called you friends; for all things that I have heard of my Father I have made known unto you. Ye have not chosen me, but I have chosen you, and ordained you, that ye should go and bring forth fruit, and that your fruit should remain: that whatsoever ye shall ask of the Father in my name, he may give it you.” John 15:15-16
Kingdom protocol dictates that a king chooses his citizens. The citizens do not choose the king. Let us not be guilty of refusing to allow the king of the better government to reign over us. By allowing God and His Holy Spirit to guide and govern, all the things that the other countries seek for will be added to us without toil or fail. The bible is full of teaching on kingdom life and that we can have it more abundantly through Jesus our King Lord! Submit to the righteousness of God and the benefits of His kingdom are in effect immediately.
“That at that time ye were without Christ, being aliens from the commonwealth of Israel, and strangers from the covenants of promise, having no hope, and without God in the world: But now in Christ Jesus ye who sometimes were far off are made nigh by the blood of Christ.” Eph. 2:12-13 Underline my emphasis
Yes there was a time when we were outsiders, since Adam, from citizenship of the kingdom of God but NOW in the kingdom of His dear Son we have been made close! If we were without Christ then we were without the king and if we were without the king then we were without His kingdom! If we are without the kingdom then we were without the commonwealth and the covenants of promise, and if we were without the commonwealth and the promises then we were without hope. If we were without hope then we were without God in this world’s government. That would be a miserable existence and many people are in this exact state today. The sad part is that they do not have to be in that state. Things can be turned around in an instant with God through Jesus Christ.
So what do you want? A better Government? Jesus came to offer that right now. He is offering it to us now. Jesus got mad when He thought on the leaders keeping His citizens away from all the benefits of citizenship. Jesus came to explain the country He was from and how its government functioned. He compared it with a lot of things in Matthew-Chapter 13. It was so important to Him that He was concerned what others thought of Him so He could tell if His message was getting across. He wanted everyone to get in on His deal. He was mad when His own leaders started using positions to lift themselves higher than God by making the people look to them instead of looking to God.
“Jesus saith unto them, Did ye never read in the scriptures, The stone which the builders rejected, the same is become the head of the corner: this is the Lord's doing, and it is marvellous in our eyes? Therefore say I unto you, The kingdom of God shall be taken from you, and given to a nation bringing forth the fruits thereof.” Matt. 21:22-23
This may surprise you but the message of ‘salvation and everyone goes to heaven’ wasn’t His major message even though that is what religion teaches. The message that Jesus preached and also told His disciples to do was to preach the kingdom of God and to heal the sick. He did that because the kingdom of God is for the hurting and suffering people right here on the earth. He wasn’t telling the poor, sick and bruised to suffer until they die and go to heaven and everything will be alright. Think about that-please.
His answer to their plight was for the right now and right here on earth. If we were supposed to wait until we died to be saved to experience the abundant life then why was He mad at His leaders for keeping His people from entering into the kingdom? How could they enter in when He hadn’t yet gone to the cross? The answer is obvious. The children of Israel were natural born citizens of the people of God. All they had to do was to be born there. Jesus had to die to give all people the right to become naturalized citizens into His kingdom and the moment we do that we have permanent residence within the household of God! We are family and fellow heirs of the same body. Now we have, on earth, power to tread on the serpent and the scorpion and all the ability of the enemy so that nothing can by any means hurt us. If we postpone the teachings of the kingdom we are postponing our access to the benefits now. We are indeed from a better government now and can take full advantages of dual citizenship…...Now!
“But woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye shut up the kingdom of heaven against men: for ye neither go in yourselves, neither suffer ye them that are entering to go in.” Matt. 23:13
That was the beginning of ‘woes’ from our King. Why would Jesus have been mad at the Pharisees for withholding the kingdom of heaven if we are supposed to experience the kingdom of heaven only IN heaven? Obviously He wanted Heaven to come to earth as He brought it. Wake up child of God and don’t allow religion to lure you into emotionalism and fear. Fear not for the Kingdom of God IS at hand!
