KTM FAITH LESSONS

Grace to you today and peace be unto you through the Lord Jesus our King. I trust that you will be empowered and fired up as you look deeper into this powerful verse from the Kingdom of Heaven.
"For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.” John 3:16-17
All of my life I have been taught that John 3:16 was the scripture to prove that there was a great opportunity to go to heaven because God was going to save all who believed in Him through Jesus. I believed in Jesus because of that verse. I believed in heaven because of that verse. I could quote verse 16 and 17 at anytime and anywhere even when I was just 4 years old. I would quote that verse when it was time for the children to recite bible verses in Sunday School.
John 3:16 & 17 gives the purpose for God sending His Son and that should be very plain to see. What I didn’t know was that John 3:16 had another view to see it from. I also found that there was much insight to be gained by just understanding the definitions of a few words. I knew Jesus as my Lord and Savior as a young adult and all my training for ministry taught the very same thing. What I didn’t have any knowledge of was Jesus being Christ and what the purpose for His Christendom was. All my time as a Christian I knew I was supposed to teach His Word and help others proceed with confidence in their walk of faith for victory in their lives. THEN... I met Christ! Have you met Him?
The Holy Spirit made things very clear as I learned of Christ. I found out that He was the Anointed One sent from God to remove burdens and destroy yokes but that was not the fullness of the blessing that I have now come to know. God is so good and I know now that He is the great planner of all times and not only that He will bring His plans to fruition through His family. The term Savior speaks to His redeeming work of God's plan to restore man to Himself through the blood and the cross of Jesus our Lord. The word Lord is the word owner and that speaks to His right to claim what belongs to God. The word Christ speaks to Jesus’ position of governing rule which is King. If you’d like to go more in depth about this subject please download our podcast that covers the fact of Jesus as King at KingdomTimeMinistries.org
Once you see that Jesus, as your anointed King you then have access into His kingdom for what king is it that doesn’t have a kingdom and territory? This will help you understand what Jesus’ purpose was and what your assignment is!
“The earth is the LORD'S, and the fulness thereof; the world, and they that dwell therein.” Psalms 24:1
First of all let's get a couple of things straight. In order for us to have dialog we have to know terms and what they mean otherwise everytime I use the term you may never know what it is I am actually talking about. The word world is different from the word earth in that verse above. It’s the same word that Jesus used when He said “for God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son.” The word earth is the word Terra and it means the planet with the rocks and minerals and oceans. The word world is the word kosmos and it means the governing systems or institutions of man on the earth. So the earth is the Lord’s and the fullness thereof plus the world (governing systems of man on the earth) and the people that dwell within it! Get it? Let's look at another verse to see if we can understand what satan was offering Jesus.
“And the devil, taking him up into an high mountain, shewed unto him all the kingdoms of the world in a moment of time.” Luke 4:5 (KJV)
Kingdoms in the verse above is the same as governing, ruling, royal power or dominion! So satan took Jesus up onto a high mountain to show Him the vastness of the governing institutions that he would give to Jesus if He would bow down to satan and worship him. Now let’s fit the theme verse in here for sake of comprehension.
"For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.” John 3:16-17 (KJV)
The enemy was offering something he temporarily possessed not knowing what Jesus’s purpose was really for.
“But we speak the wisdom of God in a mystery, even the hidden wisdom, which God ordained before the world unto our glory: Which none of the princes of this world knew: for had they known it, they would not have crucified the Lord of glory.” 1 Cor. 2:7-8 (KJV)
Jesus said that God sent Him into the world not to condemn it but to save it through Him. That is powerful kingdom citizens and on point. Knowing this people; what shall we do? Jesus said that He was the light of the world and then He sent us out to be lights unto the same world He was sent. Now you can guess what your assignment is. He told them that they are now the light of the world! That’s the same world that satan was showing Jesus he had control of. Now Jesus has it and has given us power over it!
“And when he had so said, he shewed unto them his hands and his side. Then were the disciples glad, when they saw the Lord. Then said Jesus to them again, Peace be unto you: as my Father hath sent me, even so send I you. And when he had said this, he breathed on them, and saith unto them, Receive ye the Holy Ghost:” John 20:20-22 (KJV) Underlining my emphasis
Jesus proclaimed the blessing of peace and sent them to continue what He was doing. Jesus was and is the Son of God but not the only one now as He has commissioned us to move and groove on His behalf. Even after He had risen from the dead and appeared to His Apostles He kept teaching the Kingdom of God. What a marvelous sight to behold! The Master showing Himself to them with infallible proofs and empowering them to use their faith to walk out their assignments.
“Until the day in which he was taken up, after that he through the Holy Ghost had given commandments unto the apostles whom he had chosen: To whom also he shewed himself alive after his passion by many infallible proofs, being seen of them forty days, and speaking of the things pertaining to the kingdom of God:” Acts 1:2-3
We are to take the gospel of the Kingdom to all the world. The governing systems of the world are to be invaded by those who know who they are. Religion is one of those institutions we are to invade. The greatest enemy Jesus faced was religion and that’s what put Him on the cross! We are kingdom of God citizens not church members! The world doesn’t even want religion. The world is trying to gain control and that’s what the kingdom gives you….control. Jesus even had a hard time with the disciples because they didn’t believe that others had seem him since He was raised from the dead! He upbraided them and set them back on course. Religion doesn’t have a king because you must do what the king says or else! Religion uses words like prophets and lord. A king is greater than lord and by getting to know Christ it introduces you to The King because that’s what He was born and anointed to be!
“Afterward he appeared unto the eleven as they sat at meat, and upbraided them with their unbelief and hardness of heart, because they believed not them which had seen him after he was risen. And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature.” Mark 16:14-15
