Greetings Kingdom Citizens,
Grace be to you and peace be multiplied through the revealed knowledge of God. Thank God for all that He has done for us through the substitutionary work of Christ Jesus our Lord.
This letter is inspired by the news I am seeing on television and the amazing ignorance Kingdom of God believers are displaying to me as I ask them what the kingdom of God is. I never hear a Word on the subject from the religious organizations that broadcast weekly or even daily. It seems to me that since Christians call Jesus their Lord and Saviour they should do what He says to do. Paul was absolutely correct when he said…..
“For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to everyone that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek. For therein is the righteousness of God revealed from faith to faith: as it is written, The just shall live by faith.” Romans 1:16-17
Paul was using his authority, by Jesus Christ, to use his power in the world on the earth. The word authority means “The legal right to command or act as the authority of a prince over subjects. Power; rule; or sway.” Paul was not ashamed of his king's instructions to influence the world. You can not use authority you don’t know you have. Most Christians don’t know that the kingdom of God is for them today at all. Yes Jesus died for your sins and was raised for your justification. Yes Jesus has blessed you to go to heaven after you die. Yes Jesus has given you the ear of the Father so that you can ask Him for anything in His name and it will be given to you. Yes the blood of Jesus cleanses us from all sin but why was it done? Was all that done so that you can now endure as a good soldier until the end? Was all that done so that you can shout hallelujah and not get struck down by lightning because of hypocrisy? Was all that done so that you can now go to a building without the sense of guilt, inferiority or condemnation?
Well when you read “For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ” as “I am not ashamed of the gospel about Jesus” then the above paragraph is all you will get from the Word. Paul was not mincing words when he wrote the term “gospel of Christ.” That term means “the gospel of the anointed King and His Kingdom.” There is no such thing as an active king without His kingdom. A kingdom is the governing influence of a king over His territory. A king must have territory to rule or govern or he is not a king. A king must have citizens and his reputation depends totally on how his citizens are faring.
As a citizen of the kingdom of God it is vital to not be ashamed of who you are, the gospel that He preached about where He was from and the power granted to you by your king. Jesus was sent here to not only tell us about the place He was from but also to tell us of the fact that we can have access to that place right now in order to dominate our environment. Our king and Lord grants us citizenship and permission to wield our power.
“And I appoint unto you a kingdom, as my Father hath appointed unto me;” Luke 22:29
Hear the King on the matter. He has given citizenship to us which is authority and permission to use the dominating power over His territory. Jesus said to the disciples that were wielding their power over demons and sickness not to rejoice that the demons were subject to them rather rejoice that they were kingdom citizens of heaven:
“And he said unto them, I beheld Satan as lightning fall from heaven. Behold, I give unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy: and nothing shall by any means hurt you. Notwithstanding in this rejoice not, that the spirits are subject unto you; but rather rejoice, because your names are written in heaven.” Luke 10:18-20
The king gives us authority to speak and act on His behalf. Our assignment is to take our citizenship to the world and bring heaven to earth to change chaos into peace with The Word in our hearts and mouths. The Master Himself said that He was sent here for this very reason.
“And he said unto them, I must preach the kingdom of God to other cities also: for therefore am I sent.” Luke 4:43 (Underlining is my emphasis)
People were filled with sorrow and pain. They were distressed and angry about the way things were going with their government. Isn’t it strange that today when you look around the world that you can see so much of the same thing happening today. Stress is the new cancer these days as it seems to be embraced as something to have for an excuse to get certain medications.
“And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth.” Gen. 1:26
Jesus came to give us control over the chaos of the world and its governments. The kingdom of God is the government of Heaven and God rules there but He has given us dominion here on earth. Adam lost kingdom access and was put out of the garden because of it. Jesus came to give it back. The problem is that so many Christians don’t want to be ruled by anyone so they forfeit the very thing they want to go to heaven for…..citizenship. The king demands submission to authority so that we can wield the power that He gave us over the works of the devil. Jesus is Lord but Christ is King and His kingdom governs our lifestyle, cultures and morals by influencing us with His will, intent and purposes. When we teach only Jesus as Lord and leave out Christ as king we remove the power of citizenship away from the right here and now by postponing it until we All Get to Heaven. We can not appropriate what we postpone.
We have been appointed or conferred a kingdom and it is royal. The kingdom is so worth it Jesus said that it’s worth selling all you have to gain access to it. Jesus was telling us that the form of government we are in can not be trusted and that His government won’t break through and steal from you. Do you know any government you can trust?
“Lay not up for yourselves treasures upon earth, where moth and rust doth corrupt, and where thieves break through and steal: But lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust doth corrupt, and where thieves do not break through nor steal:” Matt. 6:19-20
It is not wise to lay up treasures in a country you are not from so our king was telling us to put our treasures in our home nation, the Kingdom of God, so that our assets can be safe from corruption. It was dangerous enough for our Lord and King to even say ‘don’t lay up your treasures here.’ There was already a king in authority where the jews were so Jesus’s life was on the line. I heard this teaching all my life through the religious organizations I grew up in and hearing it now with the understanding of kingdom life I fully understand the ramifications Jesus faced daily. We can’t wield any power we have been granted if we don’t know what authority we have or the components of what that authority is.
“That the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give unto you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of him: The eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that ye may know what is the hope of his calling, and what the riches of the glory of his inheritance in the saints, And what is the exceeding greatness of his power to usward who believe, according to the working of his mighty power, Which he wrought in Christ, when he raised him from the dead, and set him at his own right hand in the heavenly places,” Eph 1:17-19
The Father of glory wants us to know what is the hope of His calling. That means that ignorance is an enemy of our kingdom walk of faith. He wants us to know what the riches of His glory are in the inheritance of the saints. Our wealth is in our inheritance and it must be opulent. The Word riches in the greek language means wealth, money, possessions, abundance and valuable bestowments! Are you ready for that? Are you really ready to read and know more? The Father of glory wants us to know that there is more than enough in our inheritance not to be concerned about most of the things we concern ourselves with. He said that it is in us! Say what? In us? Yes indeed. Let's keep looking at this a bit.
The next thing the Father of glory wants us to know is what the exceeding greatness of His power toward us is. The Word power there means miraculous potential power and that is for those of us who believe. I like to say that the kingdom of God is for everyone but is only on the believer. That power is to the full extent of the working of His mighty power. The Word working in verse 19 is the greek word power but this power is where we get the word ‘energy’ and it is pronounced energiah. So the miracle-working power toward us is from the full extent of His energy. This energy is from His mighty power. The Word mighty is the word power also but it means ‘ability to perform anything!’ The last Word power there in verse 19 is the greek word ‘kratos’ and it means dominion.
So through the spirit of wisdom and revelation God can have us know the wealth that is available to the saints through the miraculous power that is full of His energy to perform anything through His authoritative dominion! In fact verse 19 is indeed the power verse of the bible. This power is all in Christ Jesus or the Kingdom of His dear Son! So God has, through Christ, granted us authority to wield our power over the works of the devil and we need to intimately know this and proceed with confidence. How powerful is that? So in verse 19 alone ‘In Christ Jesus’ we have Potential, Energy, Ability, and the Authority to wield it!
I trust that this Kingdom Faith message has been a blessing to you and like all good things pass it forward to anyone you think this could help. Don’t keep it to yourself.
