KTM FAITH LESSONS

Grace and peace be to you and peace be multiplied to you via the revealed knowledge of God and His Kingdom which is given to us by faith in His Name!
Last month I talked about Faith for Kingdom life and I trust that it was a blessing to you. I hope that you pass it forward to all that will hear and take time to understand it. This month we are looking into the character of faith which is exemplifed in those who champion the kingdom of God through faith and patience. This is done by revelation of Jesus and what He actually meant when He declared “Seek first the kingdom of God and His way of doing things so that all the things we seek for in this life will be added to us without fail or toil.” (My paraphrase of Matt. 6:33)
A person of Kingdom life will use their faith by priority. First things first. You can avoid many pitfalls in life if obedience is given to the King of the kingdom because He (the king) is then responsible for the outcome of your faith. Remember that Jesus is the author and developer of our faith. Seek first means to seek first. Each day poses problems of its own so our King tells us to take no thought for tomorrow. He wants our focus on faith for kingdom life today. First things first. When you know the mind of the king you will know what His hands are doing because you sought Him out the first thing this morning. Now you move with confidence because you and the Governor (The Holy Spirit) have communed over His Word in prayer and worship. What? You haven’t done that yet? No wonder you can’t see your way through the chaos and ignorance the world is proposing.
The character of faith in a man of the kingdom believes God beyond his or her intellect. He or she does not wait for the hard times to arrive before they start trying to believe God for deliverance. This really shouldn’t have to be said but….God is really great and He’s smarter than any of us. He has set all of creation in motion and obviously knows how to sustain it. So the person of faith in the kingdom of God moves by priorities and the principals God, our source, has set up. This will stop anxiety in its tracks! Hear Paul say:
“Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us, Unto him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus throughout all ages, world without end. Amen.” Ephes. 3:20-21(KJV)
The Word “power” in that verse is the Greek word “Dunamis” and it means the potential to do anything. That power is at work in us as we wield our faith lavishly before the Lord of Glory. Our mind doesn’t need to know everything to walk by faith. Our soul should prosper as we learn of things going on around us but when it comes to God we must allow our imagination to flow free from worry and the kingdom of God is designed to do just that. There may be a problem though that arises that Jesus talks about where effective living is concerned. Jesus named out distractions, issues, and false opportunities that can arise for the Word’s sake. Look at Luke 8:
“And that which fell among thorns are they, which, when they have heard, go forth, and are choked with cares and riches and pleasures of this life, and bring no fruit to perfection. But that on the good ground are they, which in an honest and good heart, having heard the word, keep it, and bring forth fruit with patience.” Luke 8:14-15 (KJV)
The kingdom of God is here to take you between what I call the Amen and the There It Is. The problem you will face will be the answer from your own mind. Therefore the Word must be the final answer on any subject. It gives you wisdom to protect your journey from your own mind that says… “I can’t possibly see how this or that will happen!” Cares, riches and pleasures can keep us from thinking beyond the box. Faith for kingdom life takes us to our future and brings things in the future right into our present and all our intellect will challenge this the whole way. If you know what the will of the Lord is then you are well on your way to maintaining a stable and consistent faith life. Faith is the currency of the Kingdom of God so spend your faith lavishly today and everyday.
The character of a man of faith in the God of the kingdom will value the worth of the Word of the Kingdom because God has has put His Word above His name. Even if the Word you hear seems too good to be true just know that it is good and and that it is true. You may not believe that you have power to tread over the scorpion and the serpent and over all the ability of the enemy but just put it to the test and you will find it to be true. I challenge you to act it out and that will cause you to believe.
“Thy words were found, and I did eat them; and thy word was unto me the joy and rejoicing of mine heart: for I am called by thy name, O LORD God of hosts.” Jeremiah 15:16
“The law (word) of thy mouth is better unto me than thousands of gold and silver.” Psalms 119:72
The Word of the King is always law. Our job is take that word and make it legislation and policy here on the earth and in the world.
“As the living Father hath sent me, and I live by the Father: so he that eateth me, even he shall live by me.” John 6:57
Right now you may not believe that devils are subject to you through Jesus’ Name, but be of good courage. Use His name over devils and you will see this to be reality in your life. You may not yet believe that the sick will recover when you lay hands on them but if the Word of the king is big in you, a holy boldness will come upon you and the sick will recover. You may not believe yet that you can call things that be not as if they were but if you know the Word on the matter then you will find yourself imitating God like dear children. You will start speaking to the mountain and telling it to be removed and it shall obey you! I know…. I know that at this point you may start to buck and spit about all this. That’s perfectly okay. You are experiencing what the world of psychiatry calls “cognitive dissonance.” It’s what happens when your religion meets new knowledge and you start reaching back to keep your old teachings because of the various comfort zones you may be in. It's what happens when God's Word hits your ignorance.
“And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not.” John 1:5 (KJV)
Paul in the book of Ephesians put it this way:
“This I say therefore, and testify in the Lord, that ye henceforth walk not as other Gentiles walk, in the vanity of their mind, Having the understanding darkened, being alienated from the life of God through the ignorance that is in them, because of the blindness of their heart:” Eph. 1:17-18
Because of the blindness of the heart our understanding can be darkened and we can end up alienated from the life of God and His kingdom. This is a result of a lack of purpose for knowing what the bible is about and embracing religion over kingdom life. Don’t be willing to yield to the thoughts of religion so that you can stay comfortable. Ask the Lord King…..”If that is you, bid me come.” You will find that the water is just fine. The wind may still be blowing and the storm may still be raging but you have a Word from the King that you can live on just as Jesus lives of the Father. Don’t allow cognitive dissonance to be your defense against the Truth of the Word. God’s reputation is on the line for He has placed His Word above all His Name!
“I will worship toward Your holy temple and praise Your name for Your loving-kindness and for Your truth and faithfulness; for You have exalted above all else Your name and Your word and You have magnified Your word above all Your name!” Ps. 138:2 (Amp) Classic Bible
“And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come.” Matthew 24:14 KJV
