Greetings Kingdom Citizens
Grace be unto you and peace be multiplied to you through the knowledge of God and through Jesus Christ our Lord. God has allowed me to speak from my heart and it feels so much better than trying to fit a mold others have tried to put me in. Take heed that you become who God has made you to be. Walk in the fulness of the blessing for your life and thank you for allowing me to be me.
“And he said also unto his disciples, There was a certain rich man, which had a steward; and the same was accused unto him that he had wasted his goods. And he called him, and said unto him, How is it that I hear this of thee? give an account of thy stewardship; for thou mayest be no longer steward. Then the steward said within himself, What shall I do? for my lord taketh away from me the stewardship: I cannot dig; to beg I am ashamed.” Luke 16:1-3
On our podcast we are teaching on the subject “Managing Kingdom Assets” because it is the power to sustain momentum in your favor through good and hard times. There is a law of the kingdom that states that whatever you fail to manage you will loose and whatever you succeed to manage you will not only have more to manage, you will also have abundance. In the scripture above Jesus is telling us of a master that had a manager that was wasting his master’s goods and was caught doing it. The manager was told by the master to bring in his accounting records because he was fired. You see he was about to lose what he failed to manage and he thought to himself “What shall I do because I can not dig, I am too ashamed to beg.”
“I am resolved what to do, that, when I am put out of the stewardship, they may receive me into their houses. So he called every one of his lord's debtors unto him, and said unto the first, How much owest thou unto my lord? And he said, An hundred measures of oil. And he said unto him, Take thy bill, and sit down quickly, and write fifty.” Luke 16:4-6
The manager decided to use a tactic that would gain him favor for his boss and himself so that when he was fired he would have habitation until he got back on his feet. What he decided to do was to cut his master's clients bills in half! Now before you jump on this manager’s case let's see what his master said.
“And the lord commended the unjust steward, because he had done wisely: for the children of this world are in their generation wiser than the children of light.” Luke 16:8
The master gave praise to the unjust manager because he had done wisely after he was fired. He used a way to get more accounts for the master because word got out that his prices were the best in town. The manager would have favor in other places because of the deals he had made for others who owed debts. Just think if someone came to you and cancelled half of all the debt you have now? You would be ecstatic wouldn’t you?
Joseph managed well what was put in his hand and that managed to get him out of prison to the palace:
“And the LORD was with Joseph, and he was a prosperous man; and he was in the house of his master the Egyptian. And his master saw that the LORD was with him, and that the LORD made all that he did to prosper in his hand. And Joseph found grace in his sight, and he served him: and he made him overseer over his house, and all that he had he put into his hand. And it came to pass from the time that he had made him overseer in his house, and over all that he had, that the LORD blessed the Egyptian's house for Joseph's sake; and the blessing of the LORD was upon all that he had in the house, and in the field.” Genesis 39:2-5
Joseph’s management skills were evident because the blessing was on everything he put his hands to do. If you are in Christ Jesus you are Abraham's seed and heirs according to the promise. This means that as a citizen of the kingdom you have access to The Blessing and you should be able to proceed with confidence as you manage what has been put in your hands. The word “manage” means: to administer, conduct, dominate and govern. The more you are willing to administer, conduct, dominate and govern what He has put in your hands, the more God will put in your hands to do and He will equip and finance your efforts. The key is to be willing and then move as He says move either through His Word or through His voice. Managing the assets that are in your possession sustains you through the good and the bad times.
“[Put first things first.] Prepare your work outside and get it ready for yourself in the field; and afterward build your house and establish a home.” Proverbs 24:27 (Amplified Classic Bible)
The above verse is like pre-fabricated homes. All the measuring for the basic forms of the home are predetermined. The home is built, in parts, at another facility then brought on the construction site so that the builder simply follows the blueprint and constructs. In the Old Testament, builders would have the stones shaped and blocked before they brought them to the site to build. Then they would have the stones brought over to lay in place so that the whole area would not be filled with hammering and chiseling and all manner of noises. A good manager of kingdom assets shows forethought so as to gain the confidence of fellow-workers who have to flow with the manager’s concepts and strategies.
“For the kingdom of heaven is as a man travelling into a far country, who called his own servants, and delivered unto them his goods. And unto one he gave five talents, to another two, and to another one; to every man according to his several ability; and straightway took his journey.” Matt. 25:14-15
Here the owner gave his money-managers capital to trade with. He gave them the money to get it started. This is critical to knowing the mind of the Lord. They didn’t have to earn the money, it was put in their charge as he went off to another country. In kingdom governing that meant that the King was going to expand His territory. He distributed the money according to their ability to manage. This will also help us understand the mind of our King Lord. Whatever He puts in your hands He believes that you are well able to manage it.
“There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear (manage) it.” 1 Cor. 10:13 ‘parenthesis is mine’
I used that particular scripture to show you that God gives us the ability to manage even in the hour of temptations, trials and tests.
The managers who knew the mind of the Lord went and made the money work and in fact doubled the money initially seeded. The owner commended the managers that did that and gave them ten and five times more to manage. You know the story. The manager, who knew the mind of his master, failed to manage what was put in his hands because he was afraid. Like Joseph and the blessing on him, when you manage well what is put in your charge, the favor of God will be on you. When you are afraid to walk by faith and manage as you have been taught then you will lose whatever you were managing. This is a law and it can not be reversed.
“And I was afraid, and went and hid thy talent in the earth: lo, there thou hast that is thine. His lord answered and said unto him, Thou wicked and slothful servant, thou knewest that I reap where I sowed not, and gather where I have not strawed: Thou oughtest therefore to have put my money to the exchangers, and then at my coming I should have received mine own with usury. Take therefore the talent from him, and give it unto him which hath ten talents. For unto every one that hath shall be given, and he shall have abundance: but from him that hath not shall be taken away even that which he hath.” Matt. 25: 25-29 (KJV)
Adam lost what he failed to manage. Moses lost what he failed to manage. Solomon lost what he failed to manage. Esau lost what he failed to manage. Judas lost what he failed to manage. Even satan will fail what he managed to gain by pushing ignorance into our lives once we regain management through our King Jesus and Lord. In fact the tactic of our enemy is ignorance. If the enemy can keep us unwilling to manage our families, marriages, time and energy he can keep us from walking in the plenty and staying in lack. Just look at what would happen if we could just manage to give to the poor:
“Blessed (happy, fortunate, to be envied) is he who considers the weak and the poor; the Lord will deliver him in the time of evil and trouble. The Lord will protect him and keep him alive; he shall be called blessed in the land; and You will not deliver him to the will of his enemies. The Lord will sustain, refresh, and strengthen him on his bed of languishing; all his bed You [O Lord] will turn, change, and transform in his illness.” Psalms 41:1-3 (Amplified Classic Bible)
See if you can identify all the blessings in this verse just for giving to the poor. Protection and deliverance from your enemies is good enough as we manage the assets the King has given us. It doesn’t hurt either to be sustained, refreshed, and strengthened as trouble comes. Healing is in our government constitution as we give to the poor as well. That verse is loaded isn’t it?
“He that is faithful in that which is least is faithful also in much: and he that is unjust in the least is unjust also in much. If therefore ye have not been faithful in the unrighteous mammon, who will commit to your trust the true riches? And if ye have not been faithful in that which is another man's, who shall give you that which is your own?”
Hear what our King says about managing kingdom assets. If you fail to manage a little bit, you fail to manage much. That is the law of the kingdom! Instead of bucking the system by not allowing the king to reign over you, join into it and decide to enter in citizenship by obeying the King Jesus!
I trust that this Word of the kingdom message has been a blessing to you. Pass it forward to increase your harvest of hope and expand the kingdom territory.
