Grace to you kingdom citizens!
May the blessing of peace of the Lord Jesus Christ be with your spirit as light of the glorious gospel of the Kingdom dawns on you.
In every nation, especially kingdoms, there are covenants, promises and privileges. The king's family has royal privileges that come with being family. In the kingdom of God if any man be In Christ he is a new creature and behold all things are new. Being in the family has privileges that others do not have. In the kingdom of God everyone is family and all family members have access to the royal privileges that assist us to walk in this newness of life right here on the earth and in the world. Jesus, our king and Lord, tells us how to produce fruit in His kingdom. Now that you know that Jesus has conferred citizenship upon us (if you read last month's faith lesson) we should know how to use the privileges granted us as the royal family. The next scripture gives us great insight on how to lay hold and flourish in His kingdom in a daily manner.
“I am the true vine, and my Father is the husbandman. Every branch in me that beareth not fruit he taketh away: and every branch that beareth fruit, he purgeth it, that it may bring forth more fruit. Now ye are clean through the word which I have spoken unto you. Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, except it abide in the vine; no more can ye, except ye abide in me. I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing. If a man abide not in me, he is cast forth as a branch, and is withered; and men gather them, and cast them into the fire, and they are burned. If ye abide in me, and my words abide in you, ye shall ask what ye will, and it shall be done unto you.” John 15: 1-7
Look at this version of verse 4:
“Be in me at all times as I am in you. As the branch is not able to give fruit of itself, if it is not still on the vine, so you are not able to do so if you are not in me.” John 15:4 - Basic English Bible
The word “husbandman” means manager or farmer. The King, as farmer, is always looking to increase and expand his territory. Jesus is God's True Vine for us. As long as we stay in Him and He in us we can ask what we will. The key is to have His Word abiding in us. The Word of the kingdom is the Word of our Lord and as we stay kingdom-minded His kingdom can take great care of us. This is not a going to heaven or hell issue, this is a kingdom of God on earth issue. This is His will kingdom citizens and if we would only submit to His will we will find that God always backs His Word because obedience is the key entering the Kingdom!
“I will give worship before your holy Temple, praising your name for your mercy and for your unchanging faith: for you have made your Word greater than all your name.”
Psalm 138:2 - Basic English Bible
The Word declares that the Word of God is above His Name. This puts God’s, as king, reputation on the line. When the king's name is on the line you can rest assured that the king will do whatever it takes to keep His name good. God is so good that He put his name on the product! We are His products! We are His workmanship created in the kingdom of his Son! His Word then is a Royal Privilege for all of His family!
“For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God afore prepared that we should walk in them.” Eph 2:10- American Standard Version
God is the Master and we are the masterpiece. His Word is our royal privilege to use on His behalf and He has backed it with His Name. That makes His name another royal privilege for His family. With His Name we can step into His presence without the sense of guilt, inferiority or condemnation! We are His workmanship of His own will therefore He takes the responsibility of our upkeep. That is why He has given us His kingdom so we can have access to His royal privileges and to go ahead and be who He has created us to be. We are free indeed. His Word and His Name give us access to any component of His Kingdom. He did not stop there.
To make all this legal to satisfy eternal justice God gave us the Blood of His Son. This makes us legal immigrants to flow in the world on the earth because Jesus was given an earth-suit through the womb of Mary. When He spilled His blood anyone with an earth-suit could also have access to whatever He accomplished on the cross.
“Now the God of peace, that brought again from the dead our Lord Jesus, that great shepherd of the sheep, through the blood of the everlasting covenant, Make you perfect in every good work to do his will, working in you that which is well pleasing in his sight, through Jesus Christ; to whom be glory for ever and ever. Amen.” Hebrews 13:20-21
I also like this version of that verse:
“Now may God who gives peace, and brought Jesus, our Lord, up again from among the dead--even Him who, by virtue of the blood of the eternal Covenant, is the great Shepherd of the sheep-” Weymouth Bible
“For this is my blood of the new testament, which is shed for many for the remission of sins.” Matt 26:28
Now His blood is a Royal Privilege to all those in the kingdom of God's dear Son. All those in the kingdom are Royal Family and legal to use dual citizenship on the earth because we are in the World but not of the world. This should remove all shame from the game. No more is shame on any who professes the kingdom of God because it is legal. Shame is under the curse of the law and we are redeemed from the curse of the law. Now we can walk this whole earth and no matter what government we are in the kingdom of God is the great government we can live by.
The Blood of Jesus is the royal privilege that gives us access to the King of Glory’s covenant of promises! We were strangers from the covenants of promise that God gave Abraham. Through the blood of Jesus, the royal privilege to the covenants of promise are ours to access as family! The King has promised that He would be God to all who call upon His Name!
“Remember that at that time you were separated from Christ [excluded from any relationship with Him], alienated from the commonwealth of Israel, and strangers to the covenants of promise [with no share in the sacred Messianic promise and without knowledge of God’s agreements], having no hope [in His promise] and [living] in the world without God.” Eph. 2:12 (AMP Bible)
Now that we are in the kingdom of His dear Son we have no excuse to have a low esteem problem! Why? Because we have access to the Royal Privileges of Family. Let us not be like the eldest brother of the prodigal son who stayed back and didn’t enjoy the privileges of the royal family. Let's not have a pity party about who is being blessed while you see nothing great happening for you. At least the prodigal son went out beyond his borders. He made the mistake of removing himself from the true vine by joining himself to a different country to be a citizen of that country. Jesus said that we must abide in the vine. Don’t join yourself to a different country. You can be there but stay connected to the Kingdom of God. Keep the Word of the constitution in your mouth and in your heart.
“A few days later, the younger son gathered together everything [that he had] and traveled to a distant country, and there he wasted his fortune in reckless and immoral living. Now when he had spent everything, a severe famine occurred in that country, and he began to do without and be in need.” Luke 15:13-14 (AMP Bible)
You must remain a citizen of the kingdom of God and you can not do that without Him. You will lose access to your royal privileges. This does not mean being a member of a church. This is citizenship not membership. This is kingdom royalty not religious hierarchy. This is about access, not ownership. We must keep our head up not because we are stuck up or snooty but because we have a royal culture to manifest here on the earth. We are not slaves but Sons! We are friends and brothers of Jesus, not subjects. There are no step-children in the kingdom of God and the wealth is common to all. The rights of royal privileges should be acted upon and delighted in. People will see your calmness in crisis and wonder what you know. People will see that you are not in despair when it looks like there’s no hope and wonder what you see.
“We are pressured in every way [hedged in], but not crushed; perplexed [unsure of finding a way out], but not driven to despair; hunted down and persecuted, but not deserted [to stand alone]; struck down, but never destroyed; always carrying around in the body the dying of Jesus, so that the [resurrection] life of Jesus also may be shown in our body.” 2 Cor. 4:8-10 (AMP Bible)
You never have that sense of being alone because He is in you. You never have the sense of anxiety because the greater one lives on the inside showing you the Word of the kingdom that you have already deposited and calmly telling you to “walk this way, give to that person, don't approach that person, stand still for now.” Your obedience is vitally key for kingdom life. Oh, if you only knew what you have you would be full of confidence. If you only knew that if you taught others this you’ll be called great in the kingdom!
This is all possible through the joy of what you know from the inside out via the Spirit of God. Access to the Holy Spirit and His indwelling is a Royal privilege. He (The Spirit of God) will guide you and comfort you and show you things to come. He (The Spirit of Truth) is the governing influence of the King and you are His territory. He will never speak of Himself but will speak what He is told from Jesus. It’s like living in the governor's mansion! He will assist you with your new natural language of Heaven (tongues). You get all this and more plus you can flow in it as you walk by faith in the kingdom of God and not by sight.
“But ye are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of God dwell in you. Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his.And if Christ be in you, the body is dead because of sin; but the Spirit is life because of righteousness. But if the Spirit of him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwell in you, he that raised up Christ from the dead shall also quicken your mortal bodies by his Spirit that dwelleth in you.” Romans 8:9-11
The Kingdom of God is invisible and yet it is as real as the earth you walk on. The privilege of His Spirit is so vital to kingdom life that Paul said that if you don’t have the Spirit of Christ (The King) that you are none of His or in other words have anything to do with Him.
“But if anyone does not have the Spirit of Christ, he does not belong to Him [and is not a child of God]. vs 9 (AMP Bible)
This brings us full circle doesn’t it? The True Vine must stay attached in order for we, the branches, to flourish and bring forth fruit. This is the law of potential. The seed when planted has roots and the roots become trees that have fruit that have seeds that have roots that have trees that have fruit that has seeds……..
“For if ye live after the flesh, ye shall die: but if ye through the Spirit do mortify the deeds of the body, ye shall live. For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God.” Rom. 8:13-14
So there you have a partial list of the Royal Privileges that are yours to flow in. Don’t labor just flow. It should be as natural as being a citizen of the country you now live in. What are they?
The Word, The Name, The Blood, The Everlasting Covenant and The Spirit.
I trust that this Kingdom Faith message has been a blessing to you and like all good things pass it forward to anyone you think this could help. Don’t keep it to yourself.
